Taku Ishizu is one of the founding partners in Marunouchi Kokusai Law Office. He focuses his practice on capital markets, asset management, acquisition finance and banking. His securities practice covers IPOs and other offerings of equity and fixed-income securities in overseas and domestic capital markets, and he is active in advising private and public companies and securities firms on equity and debt financings. He also has extensive experience ranging from traditional asset management to alternative investments. Taku acts in a wide range of matters in relation to fund formation, fundraising, operations, governance and organizational structure for the sponsors of private equity funds including buyout funds and venture capital funds. He actively provides banks, financial institutions and borrowers with advice on syndicated loans and acquisitions and leveraged financing. In addition, for operating companies, he handles start-up matters, general business and strategic contracting, governance, merger and acquisition activities, and general day-to-day legal matters.
